HANNAH DAVIES
Head of Tap and Modern Dance

Hannah Davies is a fully registered teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing. She trained at Stella Mann College , having been taught by Aileen Graham at Graham School of Dance. Hannah teaches Imperial Society Tap, Modern Dance and Jazz and Royal Academy of Dance Classical Ballet for Graham School of Dance, including invitation classes for pupils with particular potential in Modern Dance and Tap.

She teaches both ISTD Grade and Vocational classes, as well as freework and ‘Gifted & Talented’ lessons, along with award-winning solo, duet and group choreography for dance festivals. Many of her soloist, duet and group pieces won places in the Semi Finals of the All England Dance competition in 2007 and 2009, with a solo and Senior Modern group winning places in the 2009 Finals.  For 2011, ALL her group pieces and duets and most of her solos qualified to dance in the semi –finals, and over a dozen solos, duets and groups won places in the 2011 Finals.  In 2010, one of her soloists won a place in the UK Finals of the Festival4Stars competition and 2 groups and a soloist won through to the filmed audition stage of Sky 1’s Got to Dance TV competition 2011. For 4 years she has entered pupils for the UK national Janet Cram Modern Dance competition, with pupils successfully winning places in the Finals for 4 years 2008 - 2011. She has regularly been the Choreographer for the Rhodes professional pantomime, and is fully trained to teach ‘Melody Bear’ © introductory classes for our youngest pupils.

Her performing experience includes employment as a professional dancer performing on cruise ships around the African coast & Mediterranean.
