JUDITH HARRIS

Judith Harris is a fully registered teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance. She commenced training with Miss Graham at Graham School of Dance, then trained at The Royal Ballet Upper School, London, qualifying and completing courses in Ballet (RAD and Cecchetti), Character, National, Contemporary and Spanish Dance and Pilates Body Conditioning.


She is Ballet Mistress for The National Youth Ballet of Great Britain and thus regularly works with international choreographers and dance teachers, and is very much involved in the staging of the highly acclaimed NYB productions around Britain each year, including performances at Sadlers Wells, Birmingham Hippodrome, Hackney Empire, Ashcroft Theatre Croydon, and Orchard Theatre Dartford.From  2007 to 2010 she was delighted to be commissioned to choreograph her own pieces for the main NYB programme.

Judith has taught Classical Ballet since 1998 for Graham School of Dance, including invitation Scholar classes as well as Royal Academy of Dance grade and vocational classes, and award winning solo, duet and group choreography for dance festivals. Many of her soloist and group pieces have won places in the Semi Finals of the All England Dance competition, and in 2009 in the Finals of the competition.  All her group pieces, and most of her solos reached the Regional (semi) finals of the 2011 competition, including Classical and Modern Ballet groups reaching the 2011 Finals.

She is also qualified to teach Pilates and “Melody Bear” ©  introductory classes for our youngest pupils.
