Contemporary Classes

We offer weekly free work classes in the popular genre of Contemporary Dance. Contemporary is derived from Ballet Dance, and presents a creative, free and explorative style of dance study. Please note to study Contemporary Dance, students must take at least one Ballet class a week.

  • Intermediate Contemporary Classes

We begin introducing our students to Contemporary Dance towards the end of their Primary School years. These classes are fun and creative for the students, and offers them the opportunity to express themselves through movement.

  • Senior Contemporary Classes

Our Senior Contemporary classes are very popular for our Senior School aged students. This genre begins to be explored in depth in our Senior classes, learning and creating work inspired by Contemporary Dance choreographers and practitioners.
These classes also explore choreography and improvisation, in an encouraging and supportive environment.
