Ballet Classes

At Graham School of Dance & Theatre Arts, we are proud to follow the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus. We are proud to have a reputation of providing outstanding ballet training across all age groups. We welcome all ages, abilities, and levels of experience to our school.

  • Early Years Ballet Classes

    Nursery to Primary
    Your little one can join us as young as 18 months with Melody Bear Movement class. At the age of 3 they will the move in to Nursery Ballet, before their first opportunity to take an exam at Pre-Primary level in Year 1, and their Primary exam in Year 2.
    Our early years ballet classes enables little ones to learn the foundation and enjoyment of ballet and dance, whilst opening their imagination through movement, music and props in class.

  • Graded Ballet Classes

    Grade 1 to 8
    These classes are for students in Year 3 upwards. Our graded ballet classes explore the artistic, technical and performance aspects of Ballet. From grades 1 to 8 students learn character work as part of their syllabus, honouring many countries national dances. For grades 6, 7 & 8, students begin to learn ‘Free Movement’ work. All these grades are unique to one another and present an excellent achievement upon completion.

  • Vocational Ballet Classes

    Intermediate Foundation to Solo Seal
    We provide outstanding training on the Royal Academy of Dance’s Vocational syllabus. This syllabus offers the opportunity for dancers to learn pointe work, and is a complex and challenging sister to the graded syllabus. We complement this syllabus with us of Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) and Pilates to attain safe and brilliant practice of this challenging work.
    All students are invited to partake in these classes providing they take the required weekly classes.
